Biography
An Associate Director of Dharam Consulting Gavin has over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry with a unique combination of professional and academic experience in both Europe and North America. In addition to many years as a cost consultant in both the UK and US, Gavin also served for 7 years as a lecturer and the course leader of the BSc Quantity Surveying course at Leeds Metropolitan University in England.
Gavin possesses both pre-contract and post contract experience representing owners, and architects. Gavin has experience in all the main sectors with an emphasis in Higher Education, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Commercial, Cultural, and Infrastructure/ Transportation sectors.
His expertise includes managing teams and projects from conception to completion including providing early phase cost modeling and cost planning as well as leading the cost management process though all phases of a construction project.
He has been involved in all aspects of pre-construction and post-contract controls; advising clients on: budgets and value management, procurement methodology, bid package management, contract negotiations, reconciliation processes, change order account management, earned value analysis, and final account negotiations for major projects both in the USA and UK.
